Now, the Shocking Story can be told!

1959's Plan 9 From Outer Space was written, produced, and directed by the enigmatic Ed Wood, Jr. It is a frightening tale of beings from another world raising humans from the dead as a prelude to invasion. While Wood made dozens of films, he always said Plan 9 From Outer Space was his clear favorite.

The gang from Flashlight Theater is sure you'll understand why when you wath the movie!

The movie's headliner, Bela Lugosi, died during the making of the film. Wood frantically sought out and recruited a "skull double" to in for Lugosi in the remaining scenes. While the skull double's face is covered with a cape, see if you can spot him as you watch the movie...it adds to the excitement!!!

Tor Johnson plays the erudite Inspector Daniel Clay. This Swedish wrestler-turned-actor could really deliver a line. One of the movie's most memorable moments involves Johnson clumsily stumbling over the line "I'm a big boy now, Johnny" as he heads to his grisly demise in the fog of a Hollywood cemetery. Classic stuff! By the way, we bet you've seen a Tor Johnson mask more than once at Halloween.

Film critic Michael Medved awarded two Golden Turkey Awards to Plan 9 From Outer Space. One to Ed Wood for Worst Director of All Time, and the other designating Plan 9 as the Worst Movie Ever Made. While the Flashlight gang respects Medved, he is full of billious gas when it comes to Plan 9 From Outer Space!!

A movit that has Bela Lugosi, Vampira, Tor Johnson, and regular Flashlight Theater contibutors Detective Lieutenant John "Johnny" Harper and the stoic Colonel Tom Edwards must be blockbuster material. Tuen in and find out for yourself!!!
